Check out Twenty-Nine Latest Game Cards from Magic's TMNT Set (Including a Commander Precon Deck!)
Everyone's beloved pizza-eating heroes are making their way to Magic: The Gathering. The well-known TCG's publisher, the game's creators, unveiled a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a exclusive panel held at New York Comic Con. Could this be a exciting new set or yet another Universes Beyond marketing move? We'll let you decide.
Take a look here at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including key context. Everything mentioned here launches on March 6, 2026, with one exception — a special Pizza Bundle arrives a couple of weeks after on March 27.
MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals
Before diving into the many special decks and collections available, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by the developers. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.
Let's unpack a few surprising features. First, there's a new mechanic named Sneak, inspired by the pre-existing Ninjutsu, in which players can cheat big creatures onto the game field when an attacker isn’t blocked. The big difference in this case is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. Wizards also took the opportunity to refine the mechanic a bit (Sneak counts as playing a spell, as opposed to Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are we'll see Sneak in future sets from now on.
Should we were to return to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use the original ability because that plane is it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” a senior game designer explained. “However on other planes, because the mechanics are smoother and Sneak will be Standard-legal, it's more likely that we'd use Sneak.”
That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, is one of four cards with unique artwork designed specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.
Oh, and, if you're shocked by the card text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing game cards that aren't in your deck, many players were. But as per Wizards, that's now a legal card in every format of Magic.
Anyway, here are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from the TMNT set:
As per the company’s existing guidelines, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. Developers state they were careful to ensure the cards and mechanics worked smoothly with current Standard expansions such as Edge of Eternities.
“I headed the development for 15 months and we were aware it would be in standard and what other sets would be near it in standard,” the designer commented. “We designed to make sure that they work well with some of those sets like Edge of Eternities.”
For example, each of TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet archetype built around artifacts.
“They mesh together to offer the components for a enjoyable Standard-legal deck,” the designer says.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!
Following a decision to create any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender expansions, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only one precon, but it includes six different legendary creatures that can serve as your commander based on how you combine them (five of the cards have a special Partner mechanic called “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area rather than only one). Check them out for yourself:
This Commander precon is priced at $69.99, though the price may rise based on popularity. Wizards indicated that it contains 43 brand-new cards in total, which means an extra 37 Turtle-themed cards besides the six legendary creatures pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, that also means approximately 20 reprinted cards if we assume the precon includes 37 lands.)
What will the TMNT version of the iconic Sol Ring appear? We’ll just have to wait and find out.
Standard Bundle (Regular)
As per usual, the company is selling a bundle. This one is priced at $69.99 and includes the following:

Pizza Bundle
This is a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza box. Every Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and comes with the items below:

If you’re wondering about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” is, it’s essentially a reprint of an older card featuring all-new TMNT art. The team showed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter adding toppings onto a pizza. There are six distinct Pizza Bundle promo cards available.
This special bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.
Draft Night

Turtle Team-Up
Lastly, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its continued initiative to develop Magic game products specifically for beginners. Here, Turtle Team-Up is a special set of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend team up against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.
The general idea here that each Boss card grants unique powers to the creature cards contained in the Boss deck. Each Boss automatically casts an additional card per turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
