Large-scale Russian Attacks Cut Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
